Khimky overcame CSKA to open the semifinal series with victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CSKA Moscow won third quarter 28-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimky made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by CSKA Moscow helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities

M0ns-Hainaut claimed the second straight win over Spirou to step closer to the Ethias League Finals. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 19-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Belfius Mons-Hainaut forced 20 Spirou Charleroi turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) who scored 26 points and 6 assists

Carlos Cherry is not new to France. The Spanish guard spent the last season with Quimper. He tallied 14.0 points, 6.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in NM1.
