Belgium clinch big win over Albania for 3-1 record in Group E of the EuroBasket Qualification Round. The Belgium side satisfied more than 4000 local fans in Antwerp after 97:59 win. Albania meanwhile fell at 0-4 record on the bottom of the group.
Sam Van Rossom (188-PG-86) scored two three-pointers in the opening tip as the hosts won the first period 22:13. Gillet scored four in a row in the start of the second frame, while Wen Boss Mukubu (198-F-83, agency: SportsTalent, college: UAB) brought 39:15. Gillet sent the teams to the lockers at 52:22 and then Sam Van Rossom scored for 57:25. Ndoja replied with two three-pointers for Albania and reduced to 59:31. He also scored the last three points for his side at the end of the frame for 73:45. Belgium added 24-14 in the last stanza for the final success.
Sam Van Rossom paced all the winners with 19 points and Wen Boss Mukubu poured in 18. Beye Tabu-Eboma (184-SG-85) delivered 13, while Guy Muya (190-PG-83, agency: TSS Management) and Jean-Marc Mwema (195-F-89, agency: Court Side) had 10 each. Klaudio Ndoja (198-SG-85) and Gerti Shima (202-PF-86) collected 16 points each, while the latter also had 13 caroms. Erkand Karaj (188-PG-82) netted 12, whilst Endrit Hysenagolli (204-C-88) posted 8.
