Oberwart stole a road win over Klosterneuburg to surge ahead in the series. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-62. American forward Seamus Boxley (201-82, college: Portland St.) fired 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Redwell Gunners Oberwart's coach Tom Johnson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international swingman Christoph Nagler (196-84) produced 15 points and Bosnian-Slovenian guard Damir Zeleznik (185-80) added 12 points respectively for lost side.

BC Vienna held off Kapfenberf Bulls in the opener. Kapfenberg Bulls were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 17-11 charge of BC Vienna, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. The former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American-Mexican forward Mark Sanchez (201-87, college: Boise St., agency: Court Side) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Joe Dean Shaw (199-87, college: Nevada) added 14 points in the effort for Kapfenberg Bulls.

Dragons - Rocks 81-50 Dragons marched past Rocks in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by UBC St. Polten. Rocks was better in fourth quarter 14-11.
