Xion Dukes (#3) forced the game against Gmunden Swans (#2) into an overtime, but lost by seven points 74-81 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Xion Dukes. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The best player for the winners was Robert Arnold who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Xion Dukes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gmunden Swans maintains second position with 16-6 record behind leader BC Vienna, which they share with Kapfenberg. Defending champion Xion Dukes dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. Gmunden Swans will face Kapfenberg Bulls (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Xion Dukes will play against the league's leader BC Vienna in Wien.

The best stats of 24th round was 22 points and 11 rebounds by Ryan Richards of BC Vienna.

There was no surprise in Wien where 5th ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (12-10) was defeated by first ranked BC Vienna (17-5) 81-65 on Monday. The game without a history. BC Vienna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BC Vienna had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was British power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) chipped in 16 points and 9 assists. BC Vienna's coach Andrea Maghelli used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Seamus Boxley (201-82, college: Portland St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively. BC Vienna maintains first position with 17-5 record. Redwell Gunners Oberwart at the other side dropped to the sixth place with ten games lost. BC Vienna will face Xion Dukes (#4) in Klosterneuburg in the next round. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play at home against Gussing Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Wels - Arkadia 87-74

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Raiffeisen Wels (12-9) defeated at home bottom-ranked Arkadia Lions (1-21) 87-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Raiffeisen Wels. Arkadia Lions was better in second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Arkadia Lions 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyler Tiedeman (201-85, college: Boise St., agency: Interperformances) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Five Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin power forward Radosav Spasojevic (204-92, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and Italian-Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (206-86, agency: Interperformances) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Arkadia Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Raiffeisen Wels moved-up to fifth place. Arkadia Lions lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Raiffeisen Wels will face St.Polten (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.

Rather expected game when 10th ranked St.Polten (3-19) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked UBSC Graz (9-13) 79-63 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 46-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. UBSC Graz forced 19 St.Polten turnovers. The best player for the winners was Croatian power forward Milan Stegnjaic (204-81) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Christoph Knor (194-85) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (16-6) beat on the road 6th ranked Gussing Knights (12-10) 88-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kapfenberg Bulls. Gussing Knights was better in fourth quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kapfenberg Bulls made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Xion Dukes used huge pressure winning it 19-15 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 2-9. The best player for the winners was American forward Robert Arnold (198-88, college: Boise St.) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The other American import point guard Joshua Brown (187-88, college: Towson) chipped in 22 points. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures.
