The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets. Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most exciting game of round 28 in the A Bundesliga took place in Gussing. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Xion Dukes (17-9) to seventh ranked Gussing Knights (14-12) 82-81 on Monday evening. Xion Dukes were trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 10-point lead after three quarters before a 26-15 charge of Gussing Knights, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dario Hunt (203-89, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Sebastian Koch (202-88) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Gussing Knights' coach Radomir Mijanovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international guard Kevin Payton (196-86, college: Minnesota) replied with 21 points and 4 assists for Xion Dukes. Gussing Knights maintains seventh position with 14-12 record. Defending champion Xion Dukes keep the third place with nine games lost. Gussing Knights are looking forward to face league's leader BC Vienna in Wien in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Xion Dukes will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kapfenberg Bulls having rather not much hope for a victory.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (18-8) against sixth ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (15-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Kapfenberg Bulls were defeated by Redwell Gunners Oberwart in a tough game in Oberwart 72-76. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American power forward Jason Johnson (202-77, college: Tennessee St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Seamus Boxley who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Joe Dean Shaw (199-87, college: Nevada) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Redwell Gunners Oberwart maintains sixth position with 15-11 record. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play against higher ranked Gmunden Swans (#4) in Gmunden in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kapfenberg Bulls will play at home against Xion Dukes in Klosterneuburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for BC Vienna (20-6) which hosted in Wien 4th ranked Gmunden Swans (16-10). First ranked BC Vienna had an easy win 102-78. The winners were led by Shawn Ray who scored that evening 30 points. Even 19 points by Joshua Brown did not help to save the game for Gmunden Swans. BC Vienna have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-6 record. Gmunden Swans lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with ten games lost. BC Vienna will meet at home Gussing Knights (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Gmunden Swans will play against Redwell Gunners Oberwart and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Arkadia Lions managed to get a third victory. This time they outleveled ninth-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers in Traiskirchen 101-82.
