Oberwart claimed the second straight win over Gmunden. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gmunden Swans won third quarter 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Redwell Gunners Oberwart made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Gmunden Swans outrebounded Redwell Gunners Oberwart 42-25 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Puerto Rican guard Richard Chaney (196-84, college: Troy) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valparaiso, agency: SportsTalent) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian forward Enis Murati (194-88) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. BC Vienna survived a thriller against Wels to take 2-0 lead in the series. It looked good early as Raiffeisen Wels took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then BC Vienna had a 23-11 second period charge getting the lead and Raiffeisen Wels were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-78. BC Vienna made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) saved the victory by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American guard David Gonzalvez (193-87, college: Richmond) replied with 14 points and 8 assists and international Romed Vieider (195-91) added 16 points in the effort for Raiffeisen Wels. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.

BC Hallmann Vienna has signed Zeljko Lukajic (agency: BeoBasket ) as the clubs new head coach. Last seasons coach Johnny Griffin left the club to coach for BC Mess in Luxembourg. Lukajic last coached BC Igokea Aleksandrovac in Bosnia during the 15/16 season.
