Kapfenberg rallied past BC Vienna on the road to level the semifinal series. BC Vienna was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 26-12 charge of Kapfenberg Bulls, which allowed them to win the game. American-Mexican forward Mark Sanchez (201-87, college: Boise St., agency: Court Side) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Joe Dean Shaw (199-87, college: Nevada) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. British power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and American swingman Ian Boylan (197-83, college: CS Northridge) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for BC Vienna.

Klosterneuburg needed overtime to beat Oberwart for the first win in the series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 16-15 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 7-point victory in overtime. Xion Dukes made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Redwell Gunners Oberwart helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Bosnian power forward Ramiz Suljanovic (205-79) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Christoph Nagler (196-84) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). American forward Seamus Boxley (201-82, college: Portland St.) produced 19 points and 5 assists and American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

The BK Klosterneuburg Dukes and head coach Zoran Kostic have parted ways. The club announced a statement today that Kostics contract was terminated on a mutual agreement because he has been offered a long term job by another team.
