There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in A Bundesliga.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked BC Vienna (21-8) in Wien on Monday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked Xion Dukes (20-9) 73-71. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 25-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Kevin Payton (196-86, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Bosnian power forward Ramiz Suljanovic (205-79) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American swingman Ian Boylan (197-83, college: CS Northridge) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Xion Dukes have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 20-9 record behind leader BC Vienna. BC Vienna at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. Xion Dukes are looking forward to face Redwell Gunners Oberwart (#4) at home in the next round. BC Vienna will play against Kapfenberg Bulls and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Gussing. Fourth ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart (18-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Gussing Knights (14-15) 76-73 on Sunday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Seamus Boxley accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. International point guard Thomas Klepeisz (185-91, agency: TSS Management) came up with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for Gussing Knights in the defeat. Gussing Knights' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Redwell Gunners Oberwart have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 18-11 record. Gussing Knights lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will play against league's second-placed Xion Dukes in Klosterneuburg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gussing Knights will play on the road against Gmunden Swans (#6) in Gmunden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kapfenberg Bulls will play against the league's leader BC Vienna (#1) in Wien and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Fifth ranked Raiffeisen Wels (17-10) beat at home 10th ranked St.Polten (4-23) by 14 points 97-83, which is the biggest margin this round. Worth to mention a great performance of Ali Farokhmanesh who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Raiffeisen Wels have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 17-10 record. St.Polten at the other side keeps the tenth position with 23 games lost. Raiffeisen Wels' next round opponent will be Furstenfeld Panthers (#8) on the road. St.Polten will play against Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 31 Furstenfeld won against UBSC Graz on the opponent's court 83-75.


Gmunden - Kapfenberg 88-75

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (19-10) against sixth ranked Gmunden Swans (17-12) on Monday night. Visiting Kapfenberg Bulls were defeated by Gmunden Swans in Gmunden 88-75. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 52-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valparaiso, agency: SportsTalent) fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Serbian forward Enis Murati (194-88) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked UBSC Graz (11-17) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (11-16) 83-75. UBSC Graz was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 46-37 second half run of Furstenfeld Panthers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tyrone Sally (201-82, college: W.Virginia) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds. Slovenian swingman Samo Grum (193-79) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American swingman Michael Dale (197-84, college: S.Illinois) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: New Hampshire, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 19 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in the effort for UBSC Graz. St.Polten was better in second period 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
