Gmunden - Oberwart 89-80

Gmunden outscored Oberwart to secure the fourth game in the series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-80. Gmunden Swans had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American point guard Joshua Brown (187-88, college: Towson) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Robert Arnold (198-88, college: Boise St.) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American forward Seamus Boxley (201-82, college: Portland St.) with 19 points and 5 assists and American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) scored 22 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Gussing surged ahead in the series against Kapfenberg following a comfrotable home win. The game was mostly controlled by Gussing Knights. Kapfenberg Bulls was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for international point guard Thomas Klepeisz (185-91, agency: TSS Management) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Marcus Heard (201-84, college: De Paul) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Heard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Gussing Knights players scored in double figures. American forward Joe Dean Shaw (199-87, college: Nevada) answered with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the other American import power forward Demetrius Nelson (203-86, college: Citadel, agency: Court Side) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Kapfenberg Bulls.

Wels shot down BC Vienna to avoid elimination. The game without a history. Raiffeisen Wels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Raiffeisen Wels had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Iranian point guard Ali Farokhmanesh (183-88, college: N.Iowa) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. American guard David Gonzalvez (193-87, college: Richmond) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. Raiffeisen Wels' coach Pete Miller used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Maurice Pearson (206-89, college: Georgetown, KY, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who recorded 15 points and British power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points respectively.

Klosterneuburg became the first semifinalists as they swept the series versus Fursternfeld. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Xion Dukes outrebounded Furstenfeld Panthers 45-31 including 38 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Kevin Payton (196-86, college: Minnesota) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Curtis Bobb (198-78, college: Utah St.) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Slovenian swingman Samo Grum (193-79) came up with 21 points and guard Paul Radakovics (191-88) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively for Furstenfeld Panthers in the defeat.
