Kapfenberg forced the fifth decisive game in the series as they claimed a road win over Gussing. It looked good early as Gussing Knights took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kapfenberg Bulls had a 30-20 second period charge getting the lead and Gussing Knights were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-89. Kapfenberg Bulls made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Mexican forward Mark Sanchez (201-87, college: Boise St., agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Quentin Pryor (193-83, college: Morehead St., agency: Court Side) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. International point guard Thomas Klepeisz (185-91, agency: TSS Management) replied with 20 points and 4 assists and American forward Dario Hunt (203-89, college: Nevada) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Gussing Knights.

BC Vienna defeated Wels to make it into the semis. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-84. BC Vienna dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Raiffeisen Wels' 40. 24 personal fouls committed by Raiffeisen Wels helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) fired 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. The other American import power forward Maurice Pearson (206-89, college: Georgetown, KY, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. American-Iranian point guard Ali Farokhmanesh (183-88, college: N.Iowa) produced 20 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four BC Vienna and five Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures.

Oberwart entered the semifinal stage as they handed Gmunden the third loss in the series. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-84. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Puerto Rican guard Richard Chaney (196-84, college: Troy) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Robert Arnold (198-88, college: Boise St.) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valparaiso, agency: SportsTalent) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Redwell Gunners Oberwart and four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
