Hungary capped their Szombathely international tournament campaign with victory. They outgunned Austria today. Krisztian Wittmann (184-PG-85, agency: FCM) posted 13 points to lead the hosts. It was a tough battle from start to finish. Austria surged ahead in the opening frame and gained a 20:16 lead after ten minutes. Hungary narrowed the deficit in the second frame. But Austria held on to the advantage and secured a 37:36 halftime lead. Hungary pulled ahead in the third period. They snatched a 54:52 lead heading into the fourth period. Austria regained the advantage in the final frame. Rasid Mahalbasic (211-C-90) gave the visitors a 66:64 lead with just over a minute remaining. But Csaba Ferencz drained a triple and Balazs Simon (187-PG-80, agency: TSS Management) added a free throw to bring Hungary to the victory. Balazs Simon and Csaba Ferencz (195-F-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) netted 9 points each for the winners. Rasid Mahalbasic answered with 20 points for Austria. Davor Lamesic (205-PF-83, agency: Interperformances) had 8 points in the loss.

Ortner recorded only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 19 minutes on the court.
Umana Reyer Venezia (19-9) is placed second in the Serie A.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Ortner averages: 3.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 2FGP: 51.3% and FT: 53.6% in 26 games he played so far.

It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
They will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And that game will be critical.
Douvier has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg, 9.7rpg and 1.3apg in 30 games he played so far.
Douvier is a naturalized American.
Strangely he has never played in Austria.

Vienna is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 17-14 record. In the team's last game Clemmons had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Vienna's top player in his first season with the team. University of Iowa graduate has very impressive stats this year. Clemmons is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.1ppg) and assists (9th best: 4.5apg).
Second best performed player last round was Ales Chan (215-C-80) of Wels. He is Czech Republic center in his second season at Wels. In the last game Chan recorded impressive double-double of 32 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Wels to another comfortable win 84-65 over the lower-ranked UBSC Graz (#8, 7-23) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Wels to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 15-15 record is not bad and everything may still change. Chan is well-known at Wels and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.
Third place about best performers goes to another Wels' star - forward Davor Lamesic (205-PF-83, agency: Interperformances). Lamesic got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and five assists. He was another key player of Wels, helping his team with a 84-65 easy win against the lower-ranked UBSC Graz (#8, 7-23). Wels needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 15 lost games. Lamesic has a great season in Austria. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 7.6rpg (5th best).
