Trmal's 25 points and 7 rebounds give him Player of the Week award - Mar 19, 2013

Florian
Trmal
23-year old swingman Florian Trmal (193-G/F-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team BC Vienna and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 28.
He had the game-high 25 points adding seven rebounds for BC Vienna in his team's victory, helping them to crush Gmunden (#4, 16-10) with 24-point margin 102-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed BC Vienna to consolidate first place in the Austrian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. BC Vienna has a very solid 20-6 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Trmal had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Florian Trmal averages this season 10.9ppg and 6.2rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Fabricio Vay (206-F-86, agency: Interperformances) of Arkadia. He is Italian-Argentinian forward in his first season at Arkadia. In the last game Vay recorded impressive 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he lead Arkadia to another comfortable win 101-82 over slightly higher-ranked Furstenfeld (#9, 9-16) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Arkadia is still at the dead bottom 11th position. 22 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Arkadia managed to get this year. Vay is one of the most experienced players at Arkadia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Michael Dale (197-G/F-84) of UBSC Graz (#8). Dale showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. Despite Dale's great performance UBSC Graz lost 76-86 to the higher-ranked Wels (#5, 15-10). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of UBSC Graz ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Dale could help UBSC Graz to bring them higher in the standings. Dale has a great season in Austria. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.6ppg (9th best). Dale attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Radosav Spasojevic (204-F/C-92) of Arkadia - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Shawn Ray (194-G/F-80) of BC Vienna - 30 points and 4 rebounds
6. Seamus Boxley (201-F-82) of Oberwart - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Matias Bortolin (205-C-93) of Arkadia - 25 points and 4 rebounds
8. Davor Lamesic (205-PF-83) of Wels - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Tyler Tiedeman (201-F-85) of Wels - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
10. DeVaughn Washington (202-F-89) of Wels - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
