Aleksandar Kostoski (186-G-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) had a great game in the last round for Kumanovo and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
The 24-year old guard got a double-double of 43 points and eleven assists, while his team was edged out by Rilski Sportist (4-4) in overtime 117-114. Kumanovo moved-up to the 4th position in the Balkan League First Six. Kumanovo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 4th lost game this season out of 8 games. In the team's last game Kostoski had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. It's his second year at Kumanovo and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Kostoski has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.5ppg) and assists (6th best: 4.3apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Kumanovo's star - 23-year old Serbian center Uros Lukovic (212-C-89). Lukovic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Kumanovo was edged in overtime by slightly higher-ranked Rilski Sportist (4-4) 117-114. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in First Six. Kumanovo still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 4-4 record is not bad at all. Lukovic is a newcomer at Kumanovo and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#6). He also registered 11.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Toni Brnas (201-F-91) of Djuro Djakovic (#-4). Brnas scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Brnas' great performance Djuro Djakovic lost 68-69 to #-2 ranked OKK Beograd. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Djuro Djakovic needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Last Four. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Brnas has a very solid season. In 5 games in Balkan League he scored 16.6ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Aleksandar Shterjov (208-C-86) of Kozuv - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Aleksandar Radulovic (207-C-84) of Teodo Tivat - 20 points and 7 rebounds
6. Hristo Zahariev (197-SG-90) of Rilski Sportist - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Nimrod Tishman (197-PG-91) of Galil Gilboa - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Mitchell Watt (208-F-89) of Galil Gilboa - 16 points and 7 rebounds
9. Nikola Jeftic (202-F-85) of OKK Beograd - 15 points and 6 rebounds
10. Marko Batina (198-F/G-86) of Djuro Djakovic - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
