Levski Sofia - Rilski Sportist 84-74
Levski joined Galil Gilboa in the Balkan League Final. They shot down their Bulgarian rivals Rilski Sportist in the second semifinal in Samokov tonight. Pavel Ivanov (200-SF-88) stepped up with 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead Levski. Levski stunned their opponents in the opening quarter. They opened the game on a 16:5 run. Levski piled up a 24:9 lead after the starting quarter. Rilski came back to life in the second quarter. They outgunned Levski to narrow the deficit at 12-point mark at halftime 43:31. Levski were back in the drivers seat in the third quarter. They opened an 18-point lead midway through the period. Levski entered the fourth frame up by 19 points 64:45. But the game was not over just yet. Rilski went on an 11:0 run to get within 7 points 59:66 midway through the fourth stanza. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83) drained a timely three-pointer to restore a 10-point advantage for Levski. Gugino put Rilski within 6 with 28 seconds remaining. Protic and Pavel Ivanov then sank four free throws to seal the victory for Levski. Mladen Pantic had 18 points, while Marko Marinovic added 16 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds for the winners. Branko Mirkovic (190-G-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza) answered with 20 points for Rilski Sportist. Terry Smith (185-PG-86, college: Mercyhurst) and Stanislav Vaklinov had 13 points each in the loss.

Galil Gilboa - Kumanovo 85-76
Galil Gilboa became the first Balkan League finalists. They outgunned Kumanovo in the first game of the Final Four in Samokov. Yaniv Green (206-C-80, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) stepped up with 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the winners. Galil Gilboa and Kumanovo stayed close throughout the opening quarter. The Israeli team managed to pull in front on a three-pointer from Yaniv Green 21:18 at the first break. The Israelis went on a 9:0 run early in the second quarter to take a 12-point lead. Galil Gilboa built a 42:33 halftime advantage. Galil Gilboa opened an 18-point advantage in the third quarter. Kumanovo did not surrender and Aleksandar Kostoski (186-G-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) managed to pull the Macedonian team within 5. But Galil Gilboa answered with six straight points and never looked back en route to the victory. Rakim Sanders (193-G-89, college: Fairfield) provided 15 points, while Jamar Smith (191-G-87, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: S.Indiana) added 13 points for the winning side. Aleksandar Kostoski answered with 29 points for Kumanovo. Uros Lukovic (212-C-89) had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the losing case.

Kumanovo - Beroe 73-77 Beroe celebrated Balkan League title. The Bulgarian side upset Kumanovo on the road to sweep the championship series. Kumanovo was trailing by 16 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of Beroe, which allowed them to win the game.
