29-year old point guard Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83) put on an amazing game in the last round for Levski Sofia and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had the game-high 32 points adding four assists for Levski Sofia in his team's victory, helping them to beat Galil Gilboa (#1, 4-2) 87-79. Levski Sofia maintains the 3rd position in Balkan League Round 6. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Levski Sofia will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Marinovic had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Levski Sofia's top player in his first season with the team. Marinovic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 14.8ppg) and assists (2nd best: 5.5apg).

Second best performed player last round was Uros Lukovic (212-C-89) of league's second-best Kumanovo. He is Serbian center in his first season at Kumanovo. In the last game Lukovic recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Kumanovo cruised to a 74-66 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Galil Gilboa (4-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Round 8. Kumanovo consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Lukovic is a newcomer at Kumanovo and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.7ppg (#3). He also registered 12.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Tony Gugino (207-C-86) of Rilski Sportist (#7). Gugino scored 17 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Rilski Sportist, leading his team to a 87-67 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Teodo Tivat (#6, 4-1). Rilski Sportist needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in group B. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Gugino has a great season in Balkan League. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.3rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Yaniv Green (206-C-80) of Galil Gilboa - 7 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Mitchell Watt (208-F-89) of Galil Gilboa - 18 points and 4 rebounds
6. Hristo Zahariev (197-SG-90) of Rilski Sportist - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Mitchell Watt (208-F-89) of Galil Gilboa - 15 points and 4 rebounds
8. Yannis Gagaloudis (192-G-78) of Kavala - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
9. William Coleman (206-F-88) of Kavala - 14 points and 10 rebounds
10. Anthony Grundy (189-PG-79) of Kavala - 17 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
