Eleven teams from Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden and Ukraine will participate in the XXth Baltic Women's Basketball League (BWBL) Championship. Latvian and Swedish teams will return to league action after break.

LSU-Merks, Riga (LAT)
Tim-Scuf, Kiev (UKR)
Umea Basket, Umea (SWE).

The BWBL regular season will begin on October 19. Seven teams will play in the first stage till February next year (home and away games). Best four teams will advance to the second stage (Elite division).

Last season's top four teams - Olimpia, Horizont, Kibirkstis-Vici-Iki and Tsmoki-Minsk went directly to the second stage which will be held in February and March next year.

Eight Elite division teams will be drawn into two groups.

Final Four tournament will be held 18-20 April, 2013.

"We are happy that we will have more teams in the 2013-2014 season. We are pleased with Latvian and Swedish teams return to league. We expect to have a lot of close and interesting matches", - BWBL Secretary General Algimantas Ivasauskas said.

Eight teams from four countries played in the BWBL Championship last season. Olimpia Grodno took the title.

Dynamo-Farm - Suduva 68-58 Dynamo-Farm advanced into Baltic League Final. They rallied past Suduva in the semifinal clash. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo-Farm. Suduva was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Suduva to just 5 points in third quarter. Final Four will be held in Druskininkai, Lithuania - 1 month ago
The 2017 BWBL Final Four will be held on April 29-30 in Druskininkai. The largest Lithuanian spa resort will welcome the best four teams of the BWBL Open Championship for the fifth time and for the first time since 2013. Forward Ieva Simkute (192-F-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Suduva, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage). The 27-year old player had a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds, while her team crushed Olimpia (#4, 1-5) with 20-point margin 71-51.
