Rudupis paved their way through to the Baltic League Final. The game without a history. Rudupis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Gintaras Kadziulis (192-80) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Gediminas Orelikas (200-90) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Rudupis players scored in double figures. American forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Nauris Miezis (190-91) added 8 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Ventspils - Kalev/Cramo 78-65

Ventspils prevailed against Kalev/Cramo on aggregate and advanced into the title game. It looked good early as Kalev/Cramo took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ventspils had a 21-14 second period charge getting the lead and Kalev/Cramo was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-78. Ventspils made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kalev/Cramo 41-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Kalev/Cramo was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Donald Sims (185-87, college: Appalachian St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The other American import guard Folarin Campbell (192-86, college: George Mason) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Ventspils' coach Roberts Stelmahers allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Ty Abbott (192-88, college: Arizona St.) added 12 points in the effort for Kalev/Cramo.

Liepaja/Triobet (LBL) tabbed 22-year old Russian power forward Roman Gruschenko (205-98kg-95). He played most recently at Stroitiel Engels in Russian Superleague 2. In 22 games he averaged 7.7ppg and 5.5rpg last season. Gruschenko also played that season for Lokomotiv Kuban 2nd team (U23 League) in Russia where in 22 games he had 7.7ppg and 5.5rpg. Tartu Ulikool - Kalev/Cramo 67:68 Tartu Ulikool clinched Baltic League Bronze medals. They overcame their arch-rivals Kalev/Cramo on aggregate in the consolation final series. The Tallinn team eked out a narrow road win tonight but it was not enough to deny a 12-point deficit after the opening leg. Kalev/Cramo jumped to a 16:13 lead ten minutes into the game.
