Talented Lithuanian Augustas Peciukevicius (192-G-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for Parnu and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6 (Top 16).
The 21-year old guard got a double-double of 32 points and ten assists, while his team lost the game against the league's best team Barons kvartals (#1, 4-0) 94-99. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Parnu maintains the 4th position in Baltic League . They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. The team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings in Top 16. They lost 5 games and had no victories. In the team's last game Peciukevicius had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Parnu's top player in his first season with the team. Augustas Peciukevicius averages this season 14.8ppg, 5.4rpg and 5.8apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American forward Tyler Cain (203-F-88) of league's best team Barons kvartals. Cain impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Barons kvartals to edge the lower-ranked Parnu (#4, 0-5) by 5 points 99-94. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Barons kvartals consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the Top 16 for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Cain is a newcomer at Barons kvartals and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Edgars Krumins (194-G/F-86) of Jelgava (#3). Krumins scored 22 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Krumins' great performance Jelgava lost 78-86 to #1 ranked Kalev/Cramo. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Jelgava ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Krumins could help Jelgava to bring them higher in the standings. Krumins has a very solid season. In 14 games in Baltic League he scored 9.6ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ryan Olander (213-C) of Naglis Palangos - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Gary Wilkinson (205-F/C-82) of Kalev/Cramo - 29 points and 5 rebounds
6. Osvaldas Matulionis (200-F-91) of Parnu - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
7. TreVon Hughes (183-PG-87) of Pieno Zvaigzdes - 21 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Yancy Gates (206-F-89) of Pieno Zvaigzdes - 20 points and 9 rebounds
9. Gediminas Orelikas (200-G/F-90) of Rudupis - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Egidijus Dimsa (205-C-85) of TU/Rock - 15 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
