Rudupis - Ventspils 69-91

Ventspils made a huge step towards the crown after they knocked down Rudupis in Prienai. The game was mostly controlled by Ventspils. Rudupis was better in third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ventspils shot 64.7 percent from the field. Ventspils outrebounded Rudupis 28-16 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 73.7 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Folarin Campbell (192-86, college: George Mason) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Forward Akselis Vairogs (195-85, agency: Players Group) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Ventspils players scored in double figures. Swingman Gediminas Orelikas (200-90) answered with 15 points and guard Arturas Milaknis (195-86) added 13 points in the effort for Rudupis.

Barons kvartals - Kalev/Cramo 79-71

Barons/Kvartals celebrated the win in the consolation final series opener. The teams will now clash in Estonia later in the week. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-71. American forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) fired 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian Deividas Dulkys (198-88, college: Florida St.) chipped in 17 points. Four Barons kvartals players scored in double figures. Barons kvartals' coach Martins Gulbis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side.

Mikalauskas comes back to Nevezis - 11 hours ago
Nevezis Kedainiai (LKL) added to their roster 32-year old power forward Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-108kg-85, college: Virginia). It is actually his comeback to Kedainiai as he has played here before. Mikalauskas played most recently at Suduva-Mantinga in Lithuanian NKL league. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. Panevezys Lietkabelis (LKL) confirmed in their roster 25-year old small forward Zygimantas Skucas (201-103kg-92, agency: Octagon Europe). He played there last season. In 48 LKL games he had 7.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.2apg. Skucas helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals. He also played 14 games in Eurocup where he recorded 9.2ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.7apg. Delininkaitis comes back to Neptunas - 3 days ago
Neptunas Klaipeda (LKL) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old former international guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-80kg-82). It is actually his comeback to Klaipeda as he has played here before. Delininkaitis played most recently at Vytautas (LKL). He managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!).
