Barons kvartals - Rudupis 73-76

Rudupis snatched win in Latvia to step closer to the Baltic League Final. Barons kvartals trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 22-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-76 at the end of the game. Strangely Barons kvartals outrebounded Rudupis 45-29 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Estonian Siim-Sander Vene (203-90, agency: Alti Sport) fired 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Swingman Gediminas Orelikas (200-90) chipped in 19 points. American forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Jamar Diggs (187-88, college: Wofford, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four Barons kvartals players scored in double figures. Barons kvartals' coach Martins Gulbis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Kalev/Cramo - Ventspils 64-61

Kalev/Cramo earned a tough home win over Ventspils to surge ahead in the semifinal series. It looked good early as Ventspils took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kalev/Cramo had a 18-10 second period charge getting the lead and Ventspils were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-64. They outrebounded Ventspils 40-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Kalev/Cramo brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American guard Folarin Campbell (192-86, college: George Mason) answered with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Donald Sims (185-87, college: Appalachian St.) added 10 points in the effort for Ventspils.

Mikalauskas comes back to Nevezis - 1 day ago
Nevezis Kedainiai (LKL) added to their roster 32-year old power forward Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-108kg-85, college: Virginia). It is actually his comeback to Kedainiai as he has played here before. Mikalauskas played most recently at Suduva-Mantinga in Lithuanian NKL league. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. Skucas re-signs at Lietkabelis - 2 days ago
Panevezys Lietkabelis (LKL) confirmed in their roster 25-year old small forward Zygimantas Skucas (201-103kg-92, agency: Octagon Europe). He played there last season. In 48 LKL games he had 7.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.2apg. Skucas helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals. He also played 14 games in Eurocup where he recorded 9.2ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.7apg. Delininkaitis comes back to Neptunas - 4 days ago
Neptunas Klaipeda (LKL) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old former international guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-80kg-82). It is actually his comeback to Klaipeda as he has played here before. Delininkaitis played most recently at Vytautas (LKL). He managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!).
