parts of short interview with Donaldas
(pressball.by)

Pressball: What impression do you have after visit in Minsk
D.K. : The Minsk city is beautiful. I look forward to when the real work begins.

Pressball First news in the off-season, probably you are not pleased, "Tsmoki" left its leader Alexander Kudryavtsev.
D.K. Of course, this is a serious loss. Players grow up, go to another level. Kudryavtsev had to leave, especially since the Turkish title is quoted high. On the other hand, make room in the lineup, and other basketball players have the opportunity to prove that they are worthy to be leaders of the collective.

Pressball: in Last season, "Tsmoki"didnt participate in the regular the national championship - they played only with the semi-finals stage. This time will apply on such benefits?
D.K. For the club it was great to have done so. Still two games plus flights, some long - it's exhausting procedure. Exemption, I think, has allowed better basketball players relax and be more prepared for important matches. It was very useful.

pressball: However, representatives of other Belarusian clubs took offense, saying that to be a champion after just six meetings - not quite logical.
D.K. Everyone wants to play against a strong opponent - it's great motivation to see him in his home town to the match came as many viewers. Needs to be done so as not to suffer both parties to find a reasonable compromise.

Pressball - How do you coach: hard or democratic?
D.K. depending on the circumstances.

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Belarusians who are currently playing abroad. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Vitali Liutych (198-92). He could not help Kalev/Cramo (5-19) in their last game. Despite Liutych's very good performance the 11th-placed Kalev/Cramo (5-19) was edged 98-95 at home by the second-ranked Zenit in the group A of VTB United League.    [read more]
