Olimpia triumphs at XIXth BWBL Championship. The winner of the Belarus Finals added another title with the win over Gorizont 74:49. Olimpia GrGAU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Gorizont to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 43.9 percent accuracy of the winners and made 21-of-26 charity shots during the game. Olimpia GrGAU had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Maryia Papova (186-PF-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Maryia Filonchyk (187-PF-92) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Natalia Anufryienka (174-G-85) came up with 8 points and 9 rebounds and Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-C-89) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Gorizont in the defeat.

#1. This week's number one is an international center Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-87, currently plays in Euroleague). She led her Turkish team Fenerbahce to a victory against the leader UMMC Ekaterinburg (13-1) 70-61 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game.
Veremeenko recorded 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 21 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group A. Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu Istanbul (11-3) is placed second.
It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row.
This year Veremeenko averages: 6.5ppg, 5.0rpg, 3.3apg, 1.3bpg, 2FGP: 53.3%, 3FGP: 40.7% and FT: 71.4% in 19 games she played so far.
She is currently a member of the Belarusian senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an experienced international center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia, currently plays in EuroCup). Leuchanka was the major contributor in a Yakin Dogu BGD's victory against the leader Abdullah Gul (6-0) 63-58 in the Eurocup last Wednesday.
She scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group D. Yakin Dogu Universitesi B.G.D. (6-0) is placed first.
So far her team won all six games in the Finals.
Leuchanka's overall stats this season are: 3.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 2FGP: 52.6% and FT: 75.0%.
She is in the roster of the Belarusian senior national team.
#3. The Belarusian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Katerina Snytsina (188-85, currently plays in Turkey). Snytsina could not help Hatay (14-11) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Hatay lost 69-82 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Galatasaray.
Snytsina was the top scorer with 18 points. She also added 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 37 minutes.
Snytsina's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Snytsina has relatively good stats this year: 13.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.6apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 50.3%, 3FGP: 36.1% and FT: 91.2%(31-34) in 25 games.
She has a dual citizenship: Kazakhstan and Belarusian.
Ex-Gorizont Minsk player is also a member of the Belarusian senior national team.
#4. Forward Maryia Papova (189-94, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to Galatasaray's victory against the closely-ranked Abdullah Gul (18-7) 77-69 in the Turkish KBSL in Saturday night's game.
Papova scored 10 points, had 7 boards, passed 3 assists and added 4 steals.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul (19-6) is placed third in the KBSL.
It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
This season Papova has relatively solid stats: 10.1ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg.
She is also Belarusian national team player.
#5. International swingman Tatsiana Likhtarovich (180-88, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to a 1-point UNI Gyor's victory against the closely-ranked Miskolc (13-7) 74-73 in the Hungarian A Division last Wednesday.
Likhtarovich scored 18 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 36 minutes.
CMB Cargo UNI Gyor (15-5) is placed third in the A Division.
This year Likhtarovich's overall stats are: 9.6ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.1apg and 1.4spg in 21 games.
She plays currently for the Belarusian national team.
#6. Point guard Alexandra Tarasava (171-88, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (13-9) crushing them 88-62 in the German DBBL on Monday night.
Tarasava recorded 10 points and added 4 assists.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. TSV 1880 Wasserburg (20-2) is placed first in the DBBL.
It was her team's ninth consecutive victory in a row.
Tarasava has reliable stats this season: 10.3ppg, 1.5rpg, 2.9apg and 1.3spg.
She is an international player who is currently on the senior Belarusian National Team roster.
#7. International point guard Volha Ziuzkova (172-83, currently plays in Lithuania) was not able to help Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas in their game against Suduva (22-2) in the Lithuanian LMKL.
Ziuzkova recorded 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes.
But Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas lost 64-71 on the road to the leading Suduva.
They ended the series of four consecutive victories.
It's Ziuzkova's first season with the team.
Her stats this year are: 10.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.1apg and 2.1spg in 27 games.
Ziuzkova is also Belarusian national team player.
#8. Forward Viktoriya Pankova (185-93, currently plays in Portugal) was not able to secure a victory for Boa Viagem (15-7) in their game against GDESSA (14-8) in the Portuguese Liga Feminina.
She recorded 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Boa Viagem was defeated 71-59 in Barreiro by the lower-ranked GDESSA (#7).
Pankova's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.5apg.
She used to play for the Belarusian U18 national team
back in 2010.

Olimpia held Sozh-GGU to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Olimpia forced 22 Sozh-GGU turnovers. It was a good game for forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) who led her team to a victory with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Arina Masko (175-99) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Olimpia's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Valentina Sivoplyas (168-92) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and center Tatsiana Rebianchuk (186-88) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sozh-GGU.
