The Second Stage in Premier League just started.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Borisfen (6-20) in Mogilev on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Tsmoki-Minsk II (10-16) 64-57. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-12. But Borisfen won second period 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Borisfen 47-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Vladimir Krisevich (210-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and forward Evgeni Sugonyako (198-92) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Fedor Kryukov (181-88) responded with 13 points and 4 steals. Borisfen's coach Rostislav Vergun rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tsmoki-Minsk II keeps a position of League leader. Newly promoted Borisfen dropped to the third place with 20 games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk II will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Borisfen will play on the road against the league's second-placed Impuls BGUIR in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Swingman Igor Konuyshenko (196-86) nailed 23 points for the winning side and Uladzimir Charko accounted for 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Grodno-93's coach Andrei Vasileuka felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ukrainian forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91) came up with 23 points for Svisloch in the defeat. Grodno-93 maintains first place in League with 24-1 record. Svisloch at the other side keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. Grodno-93 will play against Rubon (#3) in Vitebsk in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Svisloch will play on the road against the league's second-placed Sozh Gomel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points and 19 rebounds by Aliaksandr Semianiuk of Tsmoki-Minsk II.

Very significant was Grodno-93's (#1, 24-1) victory against 4th placed Svisloch (10-15) 89-67. The game was mostly controlled by Grodno-93. Svisloch was better in fourth quarter 32-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grodno-93 dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Svisloch's 34. Grodno-93 forced 24 Svisloch turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Swingman Igor Konuyshenko (196-86) nailed 23 points for the winning side and the former international swingman Uladzimir Charko (200-74) accounted for 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
