There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Second Stage in Premier League.

Third-ranked Borisfen (6-22) made lots of trouble for second ranked Impuls BGUIR (10-16) in Minsk on Friday. Impuls BGUIR managed to secure only one-point victory 65-64. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Borisfen won fourth quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Impuls BGUIR won last quarter 14-15. They also forced 20 Borisfen turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Yuriy Ignatiev (198-91) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Kiril Volodkin (190-91) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Guard Sergey Tatur (195-91) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Impuls BGUIR maintains second position in League with 10-16 record having fifteen points less than leader Grodno-93. Newly promoted Borisfen keeps the third place with 22 games lost. Impuls BGUIR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk Tsmoki-Minsk II.

Ukrainian forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Oleksandr Dolenko contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Siarhei Charykau (185-82, college: Yakima Valley CC) replied with 18 points and 4 assists for Sozh Gomel. Svisloch maintains fourth position in League with 11-15 record. Sozh Gomel at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Svisloch will play against higher ranked Rubon (#3) in Vitebsk in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sozh Gomel was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of Svisloch, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Sozh Gomel's 28. Svisloch had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. An exciting game was played in Grodno. First ranked Grodno-93 faced 3rd ranked Rubon. Host Grodno-93 (25-1) smashed guests from Vitebsk (11-14) 111-55. The game without a history. Grodno-93 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rubon to just 7 points in second quarter. Grodno-93 dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Rubon's 28. Grodno-93 forced 24 Rubon turnovers and outrebounded them 51-25 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Rubon's players. Center Artem Syrovatko (207-90) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Andrei Mastou (202-84) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. COR-Borisfen Mogilev (Premier League) hired 42-year old coach Andrei Krivonos from Tsmoki-Minsk. Krivonos has coached there for the last nine years. He helped them to win the cup. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Krivonos was voted Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Coach of the Year back in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013. Xuven Cambados (LEB Silver) landed 26-year old Belarusian center Vladzimir Krysevich (209-110kg-91). He played most recently at BSEU-GrandPrint in Belarusian Premier League.
