Serbia claimed the first win at the U20 European Championship in Turkey. They bounced back after the starting loss to Netherlands to edge Belarus in Group A. Natasa Kovacevic (187-F-94, agency: Interperformances) nailed 20 points to lead the winners.
Serbia held Belarus to 8 points in the first period. The Balkan team gained a 17:8 lead after ten minutes. Belarus cut the deficit in the second frame. They got within 7 points at the interval. But Serbia stiffened defensively in the third term. They limited Belarus to 9 points to extend the gap at 12-point mark heading into the fourth frame. Serbia unloaded 26 points in the fourth period and opened win count at the tournament. Dijana Stancic (182-G/F-93) netted 15 points, while Nevena Markovic (193-F-93) added 8 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Darya Lipinskaya (180-SG-93) responded with 17 points for Belarus. Ksenija Voishal (182-F-94) and Maryia Papova (186-PF-94) had 12 points each in the loss.

FINAL Tsmoki-Minsk - Gorizont 60-55 Tsmoki-Minsk celebrated Premier League title. They held off Gorizont in Game 3 to complete the sweep of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 35-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game.
