   #1. This week's number one is former international forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84, currently plays in Eurocup). He contributed to a 3-point Unics Kazan's victory against the closely-ranked Valencia Basket (4-2) 71-68 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Veremeenko scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group L. Unics Kazan (4-2) is placed first. It's Veremeenko's fifth season with the team. This year he averages: 8.0ppg, 4.4rpg, 2FGP: 53.1% and FT: 68.4% in the 14 games he played so far. Veremeenko has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Russian. He played for the Belarusian senior national team six years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Artsiom Parakhouski (210-87, college: Radford, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. Parakhouski could not help Olin Edirne (5-17) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Olin Edirne was edged 83-82 on the road by the much higher-ranked Anadolu Efes (#4). Parakhouski recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. It's Parakhouski's first season with the team. Parakhouski is ranked seventh on the list of the best rebounders in the league and also on the list of best blockers (first place). He has very reliable stats this season: 12.7ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.5apg, 1.9bpg, 2FGP: 64.7%(119-184) and FT: 51.9%. Parakhouski is in the roster of the Belarusian senior national team.

   #3. The Belarusian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Dante Stiggers (188-82, college: S.Mississippi, currently plays in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A. He was not able to help Apoel (12-9) in their last game. Despite Stiggers' very good performance Apoel lost 69-76 in Strovolos to the leading Keravnos. He was the top scorer with 15 points. Stiggers also added made 4 passes and 5 steals in 35 minutes. Stiggers is currently sixth on the list of best passers and also on the list of most steals (third place). This year his overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.3apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 48.3%, 3FGP: 32.5% and FT: 77.6% in the 21 games. Stiggers is a naturalized American. He is also a member of the Belarusian senior national team. Stiggers used to play for BK Minsk-2006 in Belarusian league.

   #4. Shooting guard Vitali Liutych (198-92, currently plays in Lithuania) managed to help BC Siauliai to win against the league leader Rudupis (13-3) 87-84 in the Lithuanian LKL in Tuesday night's game. He scored only 4 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Siauliai (9-7) is placed fourth in the LKL. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Liutych's total stats this season are: 7.9ppg and 3.7rpg. He is also Belarusian national team player.

International small forward Mikita Meshcharakou (202-88, college: Wake Forest, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for AcegasAps TR (9-12) in their game against LeGamberi Foods Forli (11-10) in the Italian Lega2 (second division). Meshcharakou recorded 9 points and added 3 passes in 20 minutes. But AcegasAps TR lost 76-86 in Forli to the higher-ranked (#6) LeGamberi Foods. This year Meshcharakou's total stats are: 9.8ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2spg in the 21 games. He plays currently for the Belarusian national team.

Guard Maksim Shustau (188-86, currently plays in Russia) couldn't help Sojuz Zaretchny (4-19) in their game against Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (9-14) in the Russian Superleague (second division). Shustau cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points in 14 minutes. Sojuz Zaretchny lost 62-67 at home to the higher-ranked (#11) Planeta-Universitet Ukhta. It was Sojuz Zaretchny's sixth consecutive loss in a row. Shustau has relatively good stats this year: 10.6ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.0apg in the 11 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Belarusian senior team five years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Belarusian passport but never been selected to any of Belarusian national teams:

   #1. Igor Suhinin led Planeta-Universitet Ukhta to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Sojuz Zaretchny (4-19) 67-62 in the Russian Superleague (second division) on Wednesday night. Suhinin recorded 11 points and added 5 assists. Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (9-14) is placed 11th in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Suhinin has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.9apg and 1.3spg.

   #2. Vladi Yeremishin (201-F/C-84, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan in a victory against the league outsider Maccabi Kiryat Bialik (3-18) 87-79 in the Israeli National League (second division) in Tuesday night's game. He scored only 4 points in 10 minutes. Ironi Kfar Hamaccabia Ramat Gan (13-8) is placed fifth in the National League. Yeremishin has averaged so far 3.4ppg and 2.2rpg in the 20 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Belarusian and Israeli.

   #3. Experienced Sergey Karpov (200-F-80, currently plays in Russia) faced previously mentioned Igor Suhinin in the Russian Superleague last game. Karpov, who plays in the Russian Superleague (second division) could not help Sojuz Zaretchny (4-19) to beat Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (9-14). He recorded only 4 points. Sojuz Zaretchny was defeated 67-62 at home by the higher-ranked Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (#11). It was Sojuz Zaretchny's sixth consecutive loss in a row. Karpov has averaged so far 6.7ppg and 2.0rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Belarusian and Russian.

   #4. Yivgeni Lioutrine (200-C-88, currently plays in Israel) was not able to help Elitzur Yavne (14-7) in their game against Ironi Nahariya (17-4) in the Israeli National League (second division). Lioutrine cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 1 points. Elitzur Yavne was defeated 82-71 on their home court in Yavne by the second-ranked Ironi Nahariya. Lioutrine has averaged so far 6.9ppg and 4.0rpg. He has both Belarusian and Israeli nationalities.

Ormanspor Genclik Ankara (TB2L) inked 32-year old American guard Antonio Graves (191-86kg-85, college: Pittsburgh). He played most recently at Tsmoki-Minsk in Belarusian Premier League. Graves managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 6 Premier League games he averaged 13.8ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.7apg and 2.5spg. He helped them to win the league title (twice).
