Belfius Namur - Kangoeroes-Boom 62:61 (OT)

Belfius Namur celebrated D1 title. They overcame Kangoeroes-Boom in the decisive third game of the title series. Djenebou Sissoko (185-F/C-82, college: Union (TN)) stepped up with 18 points and 16 rebounds to pace the hosts to a tough overtime victory.
Kangoeroes-Boom overcame a slow 2:8 start to the game and claimed an 11:10 lead at the first break. The visitors boosted the lead in the second frame. But Belfius Namur reacted with a strong rally to finish the first half up by one 18:17. The hosts managed to clear off late in the third quarter. Belfius Namur bolstered their lead to 5 points 38:33 heading into the fourth frame. Belfius Namur looked destined for the victory when they accumulated a 48:38 lead midway through the fourth frame. But Kangoeroes-Boom denied the deficit and tied things up at 53 at the end of regulation. Deneil made a crucial three-pointer late in the extra period to give Belfius Namur a 62:59 lead. Jasmina Rosseel (175-SG-89, college: Drexel) answered with two free throws but then missed a jumper as Belfius Namur triumphed at the championship. Julie Wojta (183-G/F-89, agency: LBM Management, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) provided 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Laurence Van Malderen (192-C-81, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points in the winning effort. Janelle Bekkering (181-SF-88, college: Gonzaga) answered with 19 points for Kangoeroes-Boom. Jasmina Rosseel chipped in 15 points in the loss.
