Roel Moors
Former international guard Roel Moors (190-G-78) put on an amazing game in the last round for Antwerp, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, two rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat M.Hainaut (#3, 14-8) 86-79. Antwerp maintains the 5th position in Belgian Ethias League. Antwerp is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-10 record. In the team's last game Moors had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Antwerp, through which he has constantly improved. Roel Moors averages this season 11.3ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old American Derek Raivio (190-SG-84) of Aalstar. Raivio had a very good evening with 30 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Aalstar lost that game 86-91 to slightly higher-ranked Spirou (#2, 14-7). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Aalstar still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 14-8 record is not bad at all. Raivio is a newcomer at Aalstar, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#3). He also recorded 3.6 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Josh Bostic (196-F-87) of M.Hainaut (#3). Bostic scored 26 points. Despite Bostic's great performance M.Hainaut lost 79-86 to slightly lower-ranked Antwerp (#5, 12-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing M.Hainaut needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 14 victories and 8 lost games. Bostic has a very solid season. In 21 games in Belgium he scored 15.4ppg. He also has 4.0rpg and FGP: 56.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gary Ware (205-F/C-83) of Liege - 18 points and 8 rebounds
5. Dragisa Drobnjak (200-F-77) of Oostende - 17 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Ryan Thompson (198-G-89) of Aalstar - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Wesley Wilkinson (207-PF-84) of Oostende - 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Justin Hamilton (190-G-80) of Spirou - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Brent Wright (203-F/C-78) of Oostende - 15 points and 3 rebounds
10. Chris Ferguson (206-C-89) of Verviers-Pep. - 16 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
