Matt Lojeski
The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The most exciting game of round 24 in the Ethias League took place in Oostende. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Spirou Charleroi (15-8) to first ranked Base Oostende (17-7) 80-79 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spirou Charleroi. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Spirou Charleroi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) who saved his team from a defeat with 19 points. Serbian-Montenegrin guard Dusan Djordjevic (195-83, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. American point guard Jerome Randle (178-87, college: California) replied with 22 points and 5 assists for Spirou Charleroi. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Base Oostende have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-7 record. Spirou Charleroi at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost. Base Oostende are looking forward to face Leuven Bears (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Spirou Charleroi will play against Antwerp Giants (#5) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
The game between fifth ranked Antwerp Giants (14-10) and 8th ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (4-20) in Antwerp ended with biggest points difference. Antwerp Giants outscored guests from Verviers 82-42. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Bryan Hopkins (183-83, college: SMU) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 steals and Jean-Marc Mwema who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Chris Ferguson (206-89, college: Mid-Continent) with 14 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Antwerp Giants have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 14-10 record. VOO Verviers-Pepinster lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games.
