The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

The game between second ranked Spirou Charleroi (15-9) and fifth ranked Antwerp Giants (15-10) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Spirou Charleroi was defeated by Antwerp Giants in a tough game in Antwerp 70-74. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-70. Antwerp Giants made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Spirou Charleroi turnovers and outrebounded them 33-19 including 23 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Spirou Charleroi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Roel Moors (190-78) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Timothy Black (178-81, college: Barton, NC) chipped in 20 points. At the losing side American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Spirou Charleroi's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Antwerp Giants have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Aalstar. Spirou Charleroi at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Antwerp Giants is looking forward to face league's leader Base Oostende on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spirou Charleroi will play against the league's second-placed Belfius Mons-Hainaut in Quaregnon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Belfius Mons-Hainaut maintains second place with 16-9 record having just two points less than leader Oostende. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Antwerp. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play against Spirou Charleroi (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Okapi Aalstar will play against Liege Basket in Liege and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Ethias League top team - Base Oostende (18-7) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Leuven Bears (8-16) 97-68. Matt Lojeski fired 25 points for the winners. Yannick Desiron produced 11 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Base Oostende. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-7 record. Loser Leuven Bears keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. Base Oostende will meet at home Antwerp Giants (#5) in the next round. Leuven Bears will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 25 bottom-ranked Verviers-Pep. lost to Liege on the opponent's court 55-68.


M.Hainaut - Aalstar 71-65

The game between Top Four teams took place in Quaregnon. Second ranked host Belfius Mons-Hainaut (16-9) defeated 4th placed Okapi Aalstar (15-10) 71-65. Okapi Aalstar was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 29-20 third quarter run of Belfius Mons-Hainaut. They made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. American forward Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) nailed 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Justin Cage (198-85, college: Xavier, agency: Priority Sports) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. American Derek Raivio (190-84, college: Gonzaga) came up with 17 points and 7 assists and Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Okapi Aalstar in the defeat. Ethias League top team - Base Oostende (18-7) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Leuven Bears (8-16) 97-68. The game without a history. Base Oostende led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Leuven Bears' 36. Base Oostende forced 20 Leuven Bears turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Leuven Bears' players. American guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) fired 25 points for the winners. His fellow American import Wesley Wilkinson (207-84, college: Nebraska) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Center Yannick Desiron (206-92) produced 11 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ruben Luyten (195-91) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster's (4-21) road loss to seventh ranked Liege Basket (8-17) 55-68 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Liege Basket. VOO Verviers-Pepinster managed to win second period 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
