Belgium advanced to the Semifinals of the U18 European Championship in Division B. The team overcame Sweden in the last game of Group F for 2-1 record. Sweden finished the group with 1-2 record.
It was the game for the Semifinal ticket to the tournament. Belgium grabbed 19-8 lead in the first period and had 38:27 halftime advantage. Vincent Kesteloot (200-F-95) scored five points in a row early in the third period and then Romain Boxus (198-SF-96) increased the lead to 15 points. Ludvig Hakanson (190-PG-96) later closed the quarter for 56:42 and he reduced to 5 points with 2 minutes to go. Belgium however did not allow the opponents to come closer and won the game 66:59.
Vincent Kesteloot stepped up with 15 points and Alexandre Eyenga (186-SG-95) nailed 12. Romain Boxus poured in 10 points, while Sander Van Caeneghem (209-C/F-95) and Mathijs Gijbels (206-C/F-95) added 7 each. Alexander Larsson (205-C-95) ended up with 16 points in defeat and Jordan Peltier (188-PG-95) netted 15. Ludvig Hakanson delivered 10, whilst Henrik Jadersten (208-F-95) had 6.
