Belgium earn the second straight win at the U20 European Championship. The team improved to 2-0 record after a 73:62 win over Czech Republic in Albena.
It was Czech Republic that started with a 21:17 lead. They also produced a 20-17 rally in the second frame and led 7 points at the halftime. Belgium however dominated the second half. They won the third period 12-10 and then pushed the tempo in the last stanza. Belgium erupted with a 27-11 run and posted an 11-point win. Julie Vanloo (172-PG-93) and Lien Delmulle (180-F-93) brought the last points for the winners for the final result in the game.
Julie Vanloo led the way with 24 points, while Hanne Mestdagh (178-G/F-93) collected 21 points and 14 rebounds. Lien Delmulle and Sien Devliegher (175-SF-93) scored 9 each. Monika Satoranska (188-F/C-93) answered with 16 points and 15 rebounds in defeat and Tereza Vyoralova (175-SG-94) netted 14. Eliska Mircova (176-PG-96) brought 12, while Pamela-Therese Effangova (178-SF-93) had 7.
