Belgium grabs 4-0 record in Division B at the U20 European Championship. The leaders overcame United Kingdom U20 79:42 in the start of Day 5. Belgium was the favorite of the game and started with 23-13 lead. They added 20-7 before the halftime and never looked behind in the game. Moreover Belgium posted a 15-8 rally in the third quarter and finished the game with 21-14 end. Julie Vanloo (172-PG-93) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Hanne Mestdagh (178-G/F-93) nailed 14. Lynn Delvaux (182-F-93) notched 12, whilst Lien Delmulle (180-F-93) had 11. Shequila Joseph (189-F-95) replied with 12 points in the losing effort as United Kingdom fell at 0-5 record. Leah McDerment (180-PG-96) posted 11 and Claire Paxton (188-PF-94) scored 7.
Tomorrow Belgium will take on Israel, while United Kingdom will have a day off.

Castors Braine forced 25 Kangoeroes turnovers and outrebounded them 47-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Celeste Trahan-Davis (186-85, college: Elizabeth City, agency: LBM Management) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Serbian-Bosnian center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Five Castors Braine players scored in double figures. American-Cameroonian center Brittany Starling (183-94, college: USC Upstate) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Jana Raman (185-91) added 12 points respectively for lost side. This week's number one is an international center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management). She contributed to an UMMC Ekaterinburg's victory against the league leader Dynamo Kursk in the Russian PBL in Sunday night's game.

#1. This week's number one is an international center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Russia). She contributed to an UMMC Ekaterinburg's victory against the league leader Dynamo Kursk (19-1) 67-56 in the Russian PBL in Sunday night's game.
Meesseman recorded 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 34 minutes on the court.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. UMMC Ekaterinburg (19-1) is placed second in the PBL.
Meesseman has relatively good stats this year: 11.1ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.0apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 55.4%(77-139), 3FGP: 35.0% in 18 games she played so far.
She is currently a member of the Belgian senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Hind Ben Abdelkader (172-95, college: California, currently plays in Poland). Ben Abdelkader could not help one of league's weakest teams Wisla Can-Pack (18-4) in their last game on Thursday. Despite her very good performance Wisla Can-Pack was badly defeated 73-57 on the road by the leading Sleza Wroclaw.
Ben Abdelkader was the top scorer with 23 points.
It's Ben Abdelkader's first season with the team.
This year she has relatively solid stats: 12.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.3apg, 2FGP: 53.1%, 3FGP: 40.7% and FT: 86.7%.

#3. The Belgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international center Ann Wauters (194-80, agency: ProDep Management, currently plays in Turkey). She contributed to an Abdullah Gul's victory against the closely-ranked Besiktas (22-5) 65-58 in the Turkish KBSL on Saturday night.
Wauters recorded 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 31 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Abdullah Gul University Kayseri (19-7) is placed fourth in the KBSL.
Wauters has reliable stats this year: 11.8ppg, 6.8rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 57.6%(129-224) and FT: 86.0% in 25 games.
She is also a member of the Belgian senior national team.
#4. Shooting guard Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Gruner Stern Keltern (18-4) in their last game on Friday. Despite Mayombo's good performance Gruner Stern Keltern was defeated 76-64 in Marburg by the lower-ranked BC Pharmaserv (#3).
She was the top scorer with 14 points. Mayombo also added 5 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 3 balls.
Mayombo's stats this season are: 13.2ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3spg.
She is also Belgian national team player.
#5. International point guard Julie Vanloo (172-93, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Ragusa (15-7) in their game against Familia Schio (18-4) in the Italian Serie A1.
Vanloo scored 8 points, made 5 passes and 3 steals in 35 minutes.
Ragusa lost 61-75 at home to the second-ranked Familia Schio.
Vanloo's stats this year are: 10.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.8apg and 1.4spg in 25 games.
She plays currently for the Belgian national team.
#6. Swingman Romina Ciappina (178-88, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Germany) is a teammate of previously mentioned Emmanuella Mayombo. But that was another game of her team in German DBBL which we would like to mention.
Ciappina contributed to a Gruner Stern Keltern's victory against the closely-ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (14-8) 88-74.
She scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gruner Stern Keltern (18-4) is placed second in the DBBL.
It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row.
This season Ciappina averages: 3.6ppg and 1.1rpg.
She is a former international player as she played for the Belgian senior team two years ago.
