The Regular Season in Division I just ended.

Fourth-ranked Radnik B. (11-11) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Mladost (18-5) in Bijeljina on Saturday. The visitors from Mrkonjic Grad managed to secure only one-point victory 65-64. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 33-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Mladost dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Radnik B.'s 28. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin power forward Igor Bijelic (207-88) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian guard Petar Ivanic (191-85) contributed with 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Swingman Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for Radnik B.Mladost have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-5 record. Newly promoted Radnik B. keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Zrinjski HT.
The game in Trebinje supposed to be also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Posusje (9-13) played at the court of eighth ranked Leotar (10-12). Leotar smashed Posusje 97-76. Forward Vladimir Aleksic (198-87) scored 27 points to lead the charge for the winners and Dejan Sakotic chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Croatian guard Ivan Bakovic (197-81) responded with 19 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leotar moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Varda HE. Newly promoted Posusje dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost.
A very close game took place in Banja Luka between Kakanj and Borac Nektar. Tenth ranked Kakanj (10-13) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Borac Nektar (9-14). Kakanj managed to escape with a 1-point win 76-75 on Saturday evening. Kakanj moved-up to eighth place. Borac Nektar lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Sarajevo: Bosna ASA BHT (#2) and Vogosca (#10). Bosna ASA BHT (16-6) won against visiting Vogosca (8-14) 78-68. Nermin Buza fired 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Vogosca's coach Muriz Hamidovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bosna ASA BHT have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-6 record having just three points less than leader Mladost, which they share with Capljina. Vogosca at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 14 games lost.

In the last two games of round 22 bottom-ranked Servitium was beaten by Capljina on the road 76-66. Zrinjski HT won against Varda HE on its own court 78-63.


Capljina - Servitium 76-66

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Capljina Lasta (16-6) beat at home bottom-ranked Servitium (6-16) 76-66. The game was mostly controlled by Capljina Lasta. Servitium was better in second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Marko Boksic (201-93) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Davor Karamatic (200-95) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Capljina Lasta players scored in double figures. Capljina Lasta's coach Goran Peric allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Dejan Savic (202-85) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Nemanja Bilanovic (198-87) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Capljina Lasta moved-up to second place, which they share with Bosna. Servitium lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.

Zrinjski HT - Varda HE 78-63

Everything could happen in Mostar at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Zrinjski HT and 6th ranked Varda HE had identical 10-11 record. This time Zrinjski HT used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Varda 78-63. The game was mostly controlled by Zrinjski HT. Varda HE was better in fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Zrinjski HT forced 22 Varda HE turnovers. Montenegrin center Boris Lalovic (209-81) fired 26 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Montenegrin point guard Milutin Djukanovic (190-91) chipped in 14 points. Zrinjski HT's coach Zoran Glomazic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Darko Damjanovic (203-91) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Serbian guard Marko Josilo (201-92) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The game in Trebinje supposed to be also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Posusje (9-13) played at the court of eighth ranked Leotar (10-12). Leotar smashed Posusje 97-76. Igokea: 28-17 (13-13 ABA League 1-1 qualifying for Champions League) (9-1 5-2) The team was streaky in the ABA league going through a three game losing streak and a four game losing streak.
