Bosna - Capljina 69-67

Important game to mention about took place in Sarajevo. First ranked Bosna ASA BHT (1-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging their biggest opponent Capljina Lasta (0-2) 69-67 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Capljina Lasta. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-14. But Capljina Lasta won second period 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Capljina Lasta 43-32 including 29 on the defensive glass. Power forward Nermin Buza (206-91) stepped up and scored 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Dino Hodzic (190-90) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bosna ASA BHT's coach Dragoljub Vidacic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Serbian guard Krsto Bjelica (192-88) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Kovacevic (194-85) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Capljina Lasta players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Bosna ASA BHT went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Radnik B. Capljina Lasta at the other side still keeps top with two games lost. They share the position with Mladost. Bosna ASA BHT will play against league's leader Mladost in Mrkonjic Grad in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Capljina Lasta will play on the road against Radnik B. in Bijeljina to get more than just one victory in their record.

An interesting game for Igokea (1-0) which hosted in Aleksandrovac 4th placed Mladost (0-2). Leader Igokea had an easy win 87-68. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Mladost. Igokea made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Mladost 32-20 including 19 on the defensive glass. Slovenian Nebojsa Joksimovic (193-81) nailed 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side and Serbian point guard Milijan Bocka (185-82) accounted for 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Igokea's coach Dragan Bajic used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. point guard Drasko Knezevic (185-93) came up with 21 points and 4 steals and Montenegrin power forward Igor Bijelic (207-88) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Mladost in the defeat. Despite that victory Igokea went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Siroki WWin. Loser Mladost still keeps top with two games lost. They share the position with Capljina. Igokea will meet HKK Siroki WWin (#6) in the next round. Mladost will play against the league's second-placed Bosna ASA BHT (#2) in Sarajevo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Radnik B. (1-1) in Siroki Brijeg on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by leader HKK Siroki WWin (1-0) 85-66. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 53-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian guard Marko Sutalo (193-83, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. HKK Siroki WWin's coach Ivan Velic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin power forward Filip Goranovic (205-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Radnik B.Defending champion left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Igokea. Newly promoted Radnik B. dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Bosna. HKK Siroki WWin is looking forward to face Igokea (#5) in Aleksandrovac in the next round. Radnik B. will play at home against Capljina Lasta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Igokea - Bosna-Royal 96-72 Igokea celebrated the Bosnian League title. They crushed Bosna-Royal to claim the trophy. The game was mostly controlled by Igokea. Igokea: 28-17 (13-13 ABA League 1-1 qualifying for Champions League) (9-1 5-2) The team was streaky in the ABA league going through a three game losing streak and a four game losing streak. The team also went through a 1-5 stretch in the season. That said the team still was ultra-competitive and ended up in fifth place in the ABA league.
