The mens team of Levski achieved their victory number 20 in the NBL championship. In the basketball gym of "Bulgarian Army" stadium as a visitors against TESY Bulgaria (20) the players of coach Titi Papazov beat their opponents with a convincing 30 point victory 99-69. Thus three rounds before the end of the regular season Levski continues to be at the second place in the standings with a total balance of 20 victories and 4 losses. The young Bulgarian U 20 national team is at the bottom with just one win from 24 rounds up to date.

Players of Levski won all four parts of the game, but the most noticeable difference was in the second that ended with plus 19 in their favor. At the end after an easy game Levski achieved another victory, this time by the score of 99-69.

Six players of Levski finished in double figures. The top scorer in this game came off the bench as the youngster Dimitar Dimitrov (203-F-93, agency: Interperformances) ended with 24 points. He added 12 rebounds for his second double-double of this season in the league. Nemanja Protic added 14 points and Marko Marinovic and Hrisimir Dimitrov both finished with 12 apiece. The captain Stefan Georgiev scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

For Bulgaria U 20 Angel Natskin was the top scorer with 15 points while Velislav Gulubov and Nikolay Stoyanov added 12 points each.

This coming Monday, at 18.00 in the "Universiada" hall in Sofia Levski will face Cherno More Varna in the next round of the NBL. Then Levski will have two more remaining games in the championship at home versus Yambol and and away at Chernomorets in Bourgas. However all efforts are now directed towards preparation for the Final Four of the Balkan League, which starts on April 19 in Samokov. In one of the semifinals Levski will play against the home team Rilski Sportist. In the other semifinal Galil Gilboa from Israel play against macedonian side Kumanovo.

Rilski Sportist Samokov (NBL) landed 27-year old American forward Travis Taylor (203-100kg-90, college: Xavier). He played most recently at Fribourg Olympic in Swiss LNA league. In 31 games he averaged 14.7ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.9apg and 1.4spg last season. Taylor helped them to win the Supercup and make to league final. Donar Groningen (Eredivisie) signed 25-year old American forward Evan Bruinsma (202-97kg-92, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Inception Sports). He played last season at Rilski in Bulgarian NBL league. Bruinsma managed to play in three leagues last year. In 33 NBL games he had very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg. Derek Wright (ex Fribourg) signs at Rilski - 3 days ago
Rilski Sportist Samokov (NBL) landed 31-year old American point guard Derek Wright (179-86, college: Austin Peay State). He has played for the last two years at Fribourg Olympic in Swiss LNA league. In 22 games he averaged 13.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.2apg and 2.3spg (in top 3) last season. Wright helped them to win the Supercup and make to league final.
