Ivan Lilov
Balkan Botevgrad (NBL) agreed terms with 25-year old Bulgarian international shooting guard Ivan Lilov (196-88). It is his comeback to his home town club, as he originally from Botevgrad and has played for Balkan several times before. Last year Lilov managed to play in three different leagues in two countries. He played at Gaz Metan in Romanian Liga Nationala, where in 21 games he had 9.8ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg. He helped them win the cup and reach the league semifinals. Lilov also played 6 games in EuroChallenge where he recorded 11.2ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg. He also played at Balkan earlier that season. In 10 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.7ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.8apg and 1.6spg.

The previous season (11-12) Lilov played at Feni Indistrija in the Macedonian league (Prva Liga). In 24 games he recorded 9.3ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.6apg. He also played 9 games in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, where he was the best scorer with a remarkable 18.9ppg and averaged 3.6rpg, 2.9apg and 1.3spg. Lilov started that season at Olin Edirne in the Turkish league (TBL) - he had 2 points and 1 assist in his one game there, before he moved to Feni.

During the 2010-11 season he played at Rilski Sportist. In 35 games he recorded also great stats: 20.1ppg, 4.7rpg, 3.4apg and 1.4spg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. That was an impressive season for Lilov, who was named to the All-Bulgarian League 1st Team, the All-Star Game and the All-Domestic Players Team. Lilov also played 12 games in the EUROHOLD Balkan League where he was the second best scorer that season with a great average of 20.0ppg and also had 5.8rpg, 3.8apg and 1.2spg. He contributed to his team making it to the final of the league.

His long list of past achievements includes a Balkan League championship title (with Rilski Sportist too) in 2009. He was also voted All-Bulgarian League Most Improved Player of the Year and All-Bulgarian League Defensive Player of the Year back in 2008.

Between 2005 and 2008 a young Lilov had a contract with the most successful Bulgarian team of recent years - Lukoil Academic Sofia - but was usually loaned to his hometown club Balkan during that time.

Lilov has also been a member of the Bulgarian international program during most of his career. He has played regularly for the Bulgarian senior team since 2009 and previously for the U-20 National Team in 2007 and 2008. Lilov also represented Bulgaria at the EuroBasket 2015 Qualifications Preliminary Round this year. His stats at that event were: 8 games, 9.1ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.3apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 60.9%, 3PT: 30.6%, FT: 70.6%.
