The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds.

The most shocking disappointment of round 24 was a home defeat of 4th ranked Rilski Sportist (15-9) to seventh ranked Euroins Cherno More (10-14) 95-91. Euroins Cherno More moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beroe. Rilski Sportist at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Euroins Cherno More is looking forward to face league's second-placed Levski Sofia at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rilski Sportist will play against Tundja Yambol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
NBL top team - Lukoil Academik (22-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat eighth ranked Chernomorets (9-15) in Burgas 90-74. The winners were led by Greek power forward Dimitris Haritopoulos (205-83, agency: Interperformances) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and Darryl Watkins supported him with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by American center James Tyler (218-88) did not help to save the game for Chernomorets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lukoil Academik have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-2 record. Chernomorets at the other side keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. Lukoil Academik will play against Beroe (#6) in Stara Zagora in the next round where they are favorite. Chernomorets will play at home against Spartak Pleven and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
10th ranked U20 (1-23) was outscored at home by second ranked Levski Sofia (20-4) with the biggest margin this round 99-69 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Dimitar Dimitrov who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Angel Natskin who recorded 15 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Levski Sofia have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-4 record having just two points less than leader Lukoil Academik. Newly promoted U20 stay dead last with 23 lost games. Levski Sofia will meet Euroins Cherno More (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. U20 will play against Balkan in Botevgrad.

In the last two games of round 24 Beroe lost to Balkan on the opponent's court 87-96. Tundja Yambol managed to outperform Spartak Pleven in a home game 90-72.
