There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in NBL.

Top ranked Lukoil Academik (23-3) recorded its third loss in Sofia on Monday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked Balkan (18-8) 87-86. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Lukoil Academik. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Vladimir Panic (194-82) who scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Jordan Bozov (191-79, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in 15 points. The former international point guard Bozhidar Avramov (196-90, agency: Interperformances) produced 30 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Balkan have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 18-8 record having five points less than leader Lukoil Academik. Defending champion Lukoil Academik still keeps top place with three games lost. Balkan are looking forward to face Spartak Pleven (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Lukoil Academik's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sofia to the arena U20.
The game in Burgas was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Rilski Sportist (16-10) played at the court of 7th ranked Chernomorets (10-16). Rilski Sportist managed to secure a 6-point victory 86-80. American center Tony Gugino (207-86, college: Hillsdale) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Branko Mirkovic contributed with 18 points and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. American center James Tyler (218-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for Chernomorets. Rilski Sportist maintains fourth position with 16-10 record. Chernomorets at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 16 games lost. Rilski Sportist will play against Beroe (#6) in Stara Zagora in the next round. Chernomorets will play at home against the league's second-placed Levski Sofia and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last two games of round 26 bottom-ranked U20 was crushed by Cherno More in Varna 90-71. Levski Sofia smashed Tundja Yambol at home 81-62.


Beroe - Spartak Pleven 104-70

The game with biggest result difference took place in Stara Zagora. Local Beroe (11-15) outscored 9th ranked Spartak Pleven (5-21) 104-70 on Wednesday night. The game without a history. Beroe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 30 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Spartak Pleven 39-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Beroe looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Spartak Pleven's players. American guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St.) scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Will Walker (183-87, college: De Paul) chipped in 12 points and 10 assists during the contest. Five Beroe players scored in double figures. Power forward Dimitar Marintchechki (201-90, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and center Denis Agre (203-88, college: Pepperdine) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. There was no surprise in Varna where 10th ranked U20 (1-25) was crushed by eighth ranked Euroins Cherno More (11-15) 90-71 on Monday. The game without a history. Euroins Cherno More led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international point guard Asen Velikov (185-86) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Euroins Cherno More players scored in double figures. Center Velislav Galabov (207-94) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Nikolay Grozev (199-94) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Euroins Cherno More moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beroe. U20 lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 25 lost games. Euroins Cherno More will meet higher ranked Tundja Yambol (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. U20's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sofia Lukoil Academik.

It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Levski Sofia's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-12 extending their advantage to 19 points. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Serbian point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Dimitar Anguelov (203-79, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Levski Sofia players scored in double figures. Levski Sofia's coach Konstantin Papazov used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Interperformances) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Stanislav Govedarov (185-80) scored 7 points and 5 assists. Levski Sofia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-4 record behind leader Lukoil Academik. Loser Tundja Yambol keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Levski Sofia will meet Chernomorets (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Tundja Yambol will play against Euroins Cherno More in Varna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
