The Regular Season in NBL just ended.

NBL top team - Neftochimic (22-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Haskovo 2012 (10-14) in Burgas 83-58. The game without a history. Neftochimic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ashley Gayle (193-90, college: Texas, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian-Russian guard Anna Sokolan (178-84) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Neftochimic's coach Peter Marinov felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Latvian center Anita Teilane (196-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for Haskovo 2012. Neftochimic have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-2 record. Haskovo 2012 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost.
The game between second ranked Dunav 8806 (19-5) and 7th ranked Rilski Sportist (2-22) in Ruse ended with biggest points difference. Dunav 8806 outscored guests from Samokov 84-54. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Kristina Santiago (185-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds and Radostina Dimitrova who added 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side forward Emi Ushaguelova (181-89) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Rilski Sportist's coach Krasimira Banova gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Dunav 8806 have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 19-5 record having just three points less than leader Neftochimic. Rilski Sportist at the other side stay dead last with 22 lost games.

In the last game of round 28 Beroe was beaten by Montana 2003 on the road 80-68.
The most impressive performance of 28th round was 23 points and 9 rebounds by Radostina Slavova-Naneva of Montana 2003.

Montana 2003 - Beroe 80-68

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Montana 2003 (13-11) beat at home 6th ranked Beroe (6-18) 80-68. The game was mostly controlled by Montana 2003. Beroe was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montana 2003 players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Beroe's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Radostina Slavova-Naneva (188-86) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Milena Tomova (189-82, college: FIU) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks during the contest. Four Montana 2003 players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Daphnee Frieson (193-88, college: Stetson) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Ralitsa Naneva (178-86) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Beroe's coach Todor Tsvetanov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Montana 2003 have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-11 record having nine points less than leader Neftochimic. Beroe lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 18 games lost.

Beroe Stara Zagora (NBL) signed 21-year old international swingman Teodora Dineva (178-96) from Neftochimic. In 21 NBL games she had 11.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.8apg and 2.1spg (in top 4) last season. Beroe Stara Zagora (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old international center Gabriela Kostova (190-94) from Neftochimic. Kostova has played there for the last nine years.
