Levski Sofia started successfully 2013 Playoffs in Bulgarian NBL, after second half rally for the 89-69 win over BC Beroe.
It wasn't the best showing for the Blues, but despite the lack of focus and lots of turnovers, the home team managed to get important victory.
Levski Sofia could close the series on Wednesday, visiting BC Beroe in the quarterfinal game N2. It's best of three series.
BC Beroe keeps trying to stand strong, after three of the starters left the team due to financial crisis and delayed payments in the club. Will Walker (183-G-87, college: De Paul), Reginald Holmes (193-G-87, college: Morgan St.) and Mitchell Carter (208-C-100, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) all decided not to play anymore games for BC Beroe and left the team just before the Playoffs.
Without them, there was just so much the rest could do against Levski Sofia.
It was another great performance by one of the last Levski Sofia additions - big man Mladen Pantic (209-C-82, agency: Alti Sport), who managed 20 points in just over 16 minutes on the floor. Pavel Ivanov (200-SF-88) and Dimitar Anguelov (203-SF-79, agency: Interperformances) added 14 and 13 respectively for the win.
Milen Dimitrov (204-F/C-88) scored 17 for BC Beroe, but just one of them in the second half. Planimir Dafinov (181-PG-92) was the most valuable for the visiting team with 11 points and 8 assists for full 40 minutes in the game.

Socar Petkim signs Kaloyan Ivanov - 2 days ago

In 31 games he had 10.3ppg, 4.3rpg and 2.1apg last season. TBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
