F.Y.R. of Macedonia U20-Bulgaria U20 64:60

The final push allows F.Y.R. of Macedonia to beat Bulgaria at the U20 European Championship in Division B. They grabbed a 64:60 victory due to 21-10 surge in the last stanza. F.Y.R. of Macedonia improved to 3-2 record, while Bulgaria tied its record at 3-3.
The hosts looked better in the first period and took 18:13 lead. F.Y.R. of Macedonia answered with 18-14 run in the second period and reduced to just 1 point at the halftime. Bulgaria again grabbed the control and needed a 18-12 rally for 7-point advantage at the end of the third period. The guests however erupted with a final 21-10 push and sealed the victory.
Andzelika Mitrasinovik (178-PG-93) paced all the winners with 20 points and Nena Trajchevska (178-F/G-94) collected 12 points and 11 rebounds. Lefterija Temelkova (170-PG-93) also scored 12, whilst Aleksandra Stojanovska (178-SF-94) nailed 11. Gabriela Kostova (191-C-94) ended up with 12 points and 12 rebounds in defeat, whilst Iva Georgieva (175-F/G-96) poured in 11. Kristina Peychinova (176-G-94) and Borislava Hristova (180-G-96) followed them with 9 points each.

In 20 Serie A2 games in Italy she averaged 14.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.9spg and 1.5bpg last season. Georgieva also spent pre-season at Montana 2003 in Bulgarian league that year. Pallacanestro Femminile Broni (Serie A1) added to their roster 28-year old American center Chelsey Lee (193-89, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management). She played last season at Haskovo 2012 in Bulgarian NBL league. In 24 games she had very impressive stats: 23.0ppg, 11.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6spg.
