There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in A1.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Cibona (10-2) in Zagreb on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Jolly (7-5) 78-76. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Cibona. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and center Domagoj Bubalo (214-91) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Jolly's coach Ivan Velic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was international power forward Dario Saric (208-94, agency: XL Basketball Agency) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Jolly maintains fourth position with 7-5 record. Defending champion Cibona still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with Cedevita. Jolly are looking forward to face league's leader Cedevita in Zagreb in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Cibona will play on the road against KK Split and is hoping to win this game.

The winners were led by Marko Ramljak (201-93, agency: Interperformances) who scored that evening 18 points and 6 rebounds and Romeo Travis supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) did not help to save the game for Kvarner 2010. KK Zadar have a solid three-game winning streak. KK Zadar maintains third position with 9-3 record behind leader Darda. Kvarner 2010 at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with KK Split. KK Zadar will play against Alkar Sinj (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Kvarner 2010 will play against KK Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Alkar Sinj will play against KK Zadar (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 12 KK Zagreb lost to KK Split on the opponent's court 76-84.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 32 points and 15 rebounds by Tomislav Petrovic of KK Zagreb.


Alkar Sinj - Cedevita 60-87

Second ranked Cedevita blasted bottom-ranked Alkar Sinj (0-12) in Sinj 87-60 on Wednesday evening. Alkar Sinj is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. Cedevita led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Cedevita outrebounded Alkar Sinj 36-22 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international Luka Babic (201-91, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. The former international swingman Marino Bazdaric (195-78, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Luka Zitko (201-81) who recorded 12 points and point guard Rudolf Jugo (183-84) added 6 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cedevita have a solid four-game winning streak. The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked KK Zagreb's (2-10) road loss to sixth ranked KK Split (5-7) 76-84 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-76. KK Split looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by KK Zagreb's players. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Srdan Subotic (190-80, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who had a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87) chipped in 26 points. KK Split's coach Mladen Erjavec allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ante Krapic (205-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who recorded 17 points and international Marko Car (188-85) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively. Five KK Split and four KK Zagreb players scored in double figures. KK Split moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kvarner 2010. KK Zagreb lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. KK Split will meet at home league's second-placed Cibona in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
