There will be only one (last) round of the Second Stage in A1. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cedevita as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Places 1-8. Cedevita smashed 4th placed Jolly in Zagreb 86-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jolly. The game without a history. Cedevita led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Jolly's 22 and made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Jolly 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Jolly helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Derwin Kitchen (193-86, college: Florida St.) fired 9 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Center Miro Bilan (215-89) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Mate Mrva (195-83, agency: XL Basketball Agency) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cedevita (11-2) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Cibona. Jolly at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Jolly will play next round against strong KK Zadar trying to get back on the winning streak. Cedevita will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Cibona. It will be extra interesting game as Cibona is their local rival from Zagreb.
Top ranked Djuro Djakovic (14-6) recorded its sixth loss in Osijek. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Osjecki Sokol (10-10) 89-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Djuro Djakovic. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Veljko Budimir (199-85, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Aljosa Sarac contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Osjecki Sokol's coach Zoran Helbich allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Teo Petani (190-88, agency: XL Basketball Agency) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds for Djuro Djakovic. The victory was the third consecutive win for Osjecki Sokol. Newly promoted Osjecki Sokol maintains fourth place in Places 9-14 with 10-10 record. Djuro Djakovic at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost.
Sixth-ranked KK Split (5-8) made lots of trouble for second ranked Cibona (11-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Zagreb managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Dario Saric stepped up and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Srdan Subotic responded with 23 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion keeps a position of Places 1-8 leader, which they share with Cedevita. Loser KK Split keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Cibona's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb Cedevita.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zabok. Third ranked KK Zabok faced their biggest opponent Vrijednosnice OS. Host KK Zabok (11-9) defeated guests from Darda (13-7) 81-71. Ivan Djerman nailed 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. KK Zabok maintains third place in Places 9-14 with 11-9 record having just three points less than leader Djuro Djakovic. Vrijednosnice OS lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the second position with seven games lost.

Alkar Sinj will play at home against KK Zagreb (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last two games of round 13 In Places 1-8 Kvarner 2010 defeated KK Zagreb in Rijeka 76-72.
In Places 9-14 Dubrovnik was smashed by Krizevci at home 83-102.
The best stats of 13th round was 29 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks by Josip Ceranja of Krizevci.

There was no surprise when 7th ranked KK Zagreb (2-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Kvarner 2010 (6-7) 76-72 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 44-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kvarner 2010 dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to KK Zagreb's 28. Forward Dino Cinac (198-88) fired 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Jure Skific (202-88) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds.
