The Regular Season in A1 just ended.

Eighth-ranked Krizevci (6-12) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Djuro Djakovic (10-8) in Slavonski Brod on Saturday. Djuro Djakovic managed to secure only one-point victory 73-72. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 22-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Krizevci helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Teo Petani (190-88) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Toni Brnas (201-91) chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marin Zrnic (200-88) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds. Krizevci's coach Luka Bujas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Djuro Djakovic moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Darda. Krizevci lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zagreb. First ranked KK Zagreb faced 3rd ranked Jolly. Host KK Zagreb (14-4) defeated guests from Sibenik (12-6) 78-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Jolly. It was a good game for forward Ante Krapic (205-85) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. Ivan Novacic contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech, agency: LUMANI 10.7) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for Jolly. KK Zagreb have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-4 record. Jolly at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Alkar Sinj.
Tenth-ranked KK Dubrovnik (1-17) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Alkar Sinj (12-6) on Saturday. The visitors from Sinj managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Slavko Modric scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Alkar Sinj's coach Boris Poljak used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Maro Lucic with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Alkar Sinj moved-up to third place, which they share with Jolly. KK Dubrovnik lost fourteenth consecutive game. Loser KK Dubrovnik stay dead last with 17 lost games.

In the last two games of round 18 Zabok was defeated by Darda in a road game 76-71. Kvarner 2010 beat Osjecki Sokol at home 81-76.
The best stats of 18th round was 20 points and 19 rebounds by Alen Trepalovac of Darda.



KK Zagreb - Jolly 78-70

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zagreb. First ranked KK Zagreb faced 3rd ranked Jolly. Host KK Zagreb (14-4) defeated guests from Sibenik (12-6) 78-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Jolly. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But Jolly won second period 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Zagreb forced 21 Jolly turnovers. Darda - Zabok 76-71

There was no surprise in Darda where 7th ranked KK Zabok (7-11) was defeated by fifth ranked Vrijednosnice OS (10-8) 76-71 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KK Zabok won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Vrijednosnice OS won last quarter 18-15. Vrijednosnice OS shot 26 for 37 from the free-throw line, while KK Zabok only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded KK Zabok 35-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Bosnian center Alen Trepalovac (214-85) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Luka Panduric (192-93) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Petar Maric (196-87, college: Lincoln Trail CC) with 17 points and the former international guard Ivan Tomas (193-81) scored 11 points and 6 assists. Four KK Zabok players scored in double figures. KK Zabok's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vrijednosnice OS have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 10-8 record, which they share with Djuro Djakovic. Loser KK Zabok keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost.

No shocking result in a game in Rijeka where second ranked Kvarner 2010 (13-5) defeated 9th ranked Osjecki Sokol (5-13) 81-76 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Osjecki Sokol won third quarter 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Ivica Radic (208-90) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Henrik Sirko (198-93) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest.
