The Regular Season in A1 just ended. Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most exciting game of round 22 in the A1 took place in Zagreb. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Jolly (17-4) to fourth ranked ZKK Medvescak (16-5) 60-57 on Saturday evening. Jolly was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 12-point lead after three quarters before a 21-6 charge of ZKK Medvescak, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Jolly to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Anja Majstorovic (184-94) fired 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International center Ivana Tikvic (189-94) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Luca Ivankovic (207-87) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. ZKK Medvescak have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 16-5 record. Jolly lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with four games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Split. Seventh ranked ZKK Split (8-13) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked KK Zadar (7-14) 66-63 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ivana Roje (189-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ana Modric contributed with 24 points and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Lara Majstorovic (182-90) replied with 22 points and 4 steals for KK Zadar. ZKK Split moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tresnjevka. KK Zadar lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Studenec Omis and Rockwool Pula.

Monika Bosilj scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Gospic's coach Stipe Bralic felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Martina Gambiraza responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Gospic (21-1) have an impressive 21-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position, which they share with Novi Zagreb. Pleter at the other side keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost.
Bottom-ranked ZKK Agram (0-21) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-53 loss to eighth ranked Tresnjevka (8-13) in Tresnjevka. Iva Slonjsak notched 19 points to lead the effort. Tresnjevka's coach Dean Nemec allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Tresnjevka moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Split. ZKK Agram at the other side still closes the standings.

Studenec Omis - Ragusa 73-61

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Studenac Omis and 11th ranked Ragusa had identical 6-14 record. This time Studenac Omis used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Dubrovnik 73-61 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 44-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Studenac Omis made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Ragusa was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Ivana Seric (170-88, college: NJIT) fired 25 points and 6 assists for the winners. Maja Jercic (184-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. The former international power forward Ivona Matic (188-86) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and point guard Emilija Babun (170-86) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Studenac Omis (7-14) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Zadar and Rockwool Pula. Newly promoted Ragusa keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost.

Gospic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Pleter's 34. Guard Monika Bosilj (178-85, college: FIU) scored 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international Emanuela Salopek (178-87) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Gospic players scored in double figures. Gospic's coach Stipe Bralic felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international guard Martina Gambiraza (176-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Ana Vrsaljko (188-84) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Bottom-ranked ZKK Agram (0-21) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-53 loss to eighth ranked Tresnjevka (8-13) in Tresnjevka. The game was mostly controlled by Tresnjevka. ZKK Agram was better in third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
