An interesting game for Cibona (5-0) which played road game in Sibenik against 3rd placed Jolly (3-2). Leader Cibona had an easy win 81-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jolly. The game was mostly controlled by Cibona. Jolly managed to win third quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cibona won last quarter 23-8. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Cibona had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by Jolly helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. International power forward Dario Saric (208-94) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech, agency: LUMANI 10.7) answered with 15 points and 5 assists for Jolly. Undefeated Cibona have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record. Jolly at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with KK Split. Cibona are looking forward to face KK Split (#4) at home in the next round. Jolly will play against Cedevita in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 5 Kvarner 2010 was smashed by Zadar on the road 100-65.

Bottom-ranked KK Zagreb is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to fifth ranked KK Split (3-2) 88-76. KK Zagreb was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 49-36 second half run of KK Split. KK Zagreb was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87) stepped up and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and swingman Josip Sobin (203-89) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. No shocking result in a game when second ranked KK Zadar (4-1) crushed at home 6th ranked Kvarner 2010 (1-4) 100-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. KK Zadar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KK Zadar shot 64.4 percent from the field. KK Zadar outrebounded Kvarner 2010 39-18 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for KK Zadar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. Bosnian-Slovenian center Jusuf Nurkic (212-94) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Dino Cinac (198-88) came up with 18 points and forward Ivica Radic (208-90) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Kvarner 2010 in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for KK Zadar. KK Zadar maintains second place with 4-1 record behind leader Djuro Djakovic, which they share with Cedevita. Kvarner 2010 lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with four games lost.
