Seventh-ranked Alkar Sinj (0-6) gave a tough game to third ranked KK Zadar (5-1) on Wednesday. The visitors from Zadar managed to secure only seven-point victory 104-97. However their fans expected much easier game. Romeo Travis scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Alkar Sinj's coach Boris Poljak rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. KK Zadar have a solid four-game winning streak. KK Zadar moved-up to second place, which they share with Cedevita. Alkar Sinj at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. KK Zadar will face Jolly (#5) in Sibenik in the next round. Alkar Sinj will play on the road against KK Zagreb and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Alkar Sinj - Zadar 97-104 OT

Seventh-ranked Alkar Sinj (0-6) gave a tough game to third ranked KK Zadar (5-1) on Wednesday. The visitors from Zadar managed to secure only seven-point victory 104-97. However their fans expected much easier game. Alkar Sinj was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 27-26 charge of KK Zadar, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-6. KK Zadar made 35-of-45 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while Alkar Sinj only scored sixteen points from the stripe. Alkar Sinj was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. American Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Ante Delas (200-88) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five KK Zadar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Luka Zitko (201-81) with 25 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Rudolf Jugo (183-84) scored 9 points and 8 assists. Rather expected game in Sibenik where 5th ranked Jolly (3-3) was defeated by third ranked Cedevita (5-1) 85-68 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-68. Cedevita made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Jolly was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana, agency: Priority Sports) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Marino Bazdaric (195-78) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest.
