Ante Delas
Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

A1 round 8 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Cedevita (6-2) against third ranked KK Zadar (6-2) 85-77 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Cedevita. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Cedevita won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Cedevita helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Ante Delas (200-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. American Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana, agency: Priority Sports) replied with 28 points and 5 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for Cedevita. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Zadar moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Cedevita. Cedevita will play next round against KK Zagreb trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb - KK Zagreb. KK Zadar will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Cibona in Zagreb.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cibona as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cibona smashed 5th ranked Kvarner 2010 in Zagreb 92-65.
