The 32-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat KK Split (#2, 21-5) 76-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Cibona maintains the 4th position in Croatian A1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Cibona will need more victories to improve their 20-6 record. Zoric turned to be Cibona's top player in his first season with the team. Luka Zoric averages this season 15.8ppg.
The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old former international swingman Pavle Marcinkovic (199-G/F-89, agency: XL Basketball Agency) of KK Zagreb. Marcinkovic had a very good evening with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for KK Zagreb to edge the lower-ranked Gorica (#13, 5-20) 98-95. KK Zagreb's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-14 record. Marcinkovic is one of the most experienced players at KK Zagreb and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#3). He also registered 6.6 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was swingman Davor Konjevic (197-G/F-90) of Skrljevo (#9). Konjevic got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He was a key player of Skrljevo, leading his team to a 93-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Kvarner 2010 (#14, 3-23). The chances of Skrljevo not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 16 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Konjevic could try to bring Skrljevo's a little bit higher in the standings. Konjevic has individually a great season in Croatia. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.7ppg (7th best).
